We are approved by Renault, Dacia & Nissan and can undertake repairs on most makes and models. If you own a Renault, Dacia or Nissan vehicle the manufacturers have supplied some helpful information about the repair process, click the logos below to find out more:
The bodyshop process in a few easy steps:
You're in shock, you may even be injured. We hope you've never been in this situation before, if you have you'll know that it's important to stay calm and keep your wits about you.
The first thing to remember is that you should never admit liability at the roadside; various factors may have contributed to the incident that mean you were not liable, even if, in the shock of the moment, you suspect you were.
Simply exchange your insurance details with the other parties involved, if the police attend answer their questions fully, and if necessary, make arrangements for your vehicle to be recovered from the scene. This is where we come in. We can make prompt arrangements to bring your vehicle in for repair, with minimal inconvenience to you, whatever the circumstances of your accident.
Estimation & Authorisation
P&R Coachworks LTD will never commence repairs without estimating them first, and gaining authorisation from the relevant party either you or the insurer.
We will always:
Make a preliminary inspection of your vehicle to give an initial estimate.
- Request authorisation from the insurer and yourself to start the work.
- Our relationship with some insurers allows us to proceed with repairs immediately.
- In other cases we take responsibility for ensuring repairs are started as soon as possible.
- Sometimes initially hidden damage becomes apparent once we start to disassemble the vehicle.
- In these circumstances we will issue a supplementary estimate and gain further authority to complete the work.
With the work estimated and authorised we will agree convenient times and dates for the repair, arrange for any necessary parts to be delivered and ensure a courtesy car is available for the entire time your vehicle is in our care.
Once repairs commence we will keep you updated during the repair process, giving you at least one day's notice before the car is ready to be returned.
In the meantime we are happy to answer any questions you may have during the repair process over the phone or via email.
We will return your vehicle to your home or place of work, all repairs completed to Kitemark British Standards, including a safety check, and with your car cleaned inside and out.
Any payment due can be made by cash, credit or debit cards. Naturally no vehicle can be released without payment. We will ask you to sign a collection note to confirm you have received the car back into your care and issue you with a guarantee against our repairs.
